About this event
The name says it all: 0-2000 starts by the sea in Limassol and climbs to the summit of Mount Olympus in the Troodos range, the highest point in Cyprus, on what its organisers call the highest elevation route on the island. It is a point-to-point test of climbing on gravel, from the coast to the roof of Cyprus.
The route is unsigned and ridden on your own navigation device, through remote trails and ever-changing terrain as it climbs from the coast towards Troodos. Feed stations along the way double as checkpoints, and riders carry their own tools and spares, which gives it a self-reliant edge.
It belongs to the Cyprus Gravel Bike Series run by Activate Cyprus, the Cypriot cycling outfit that also organises the Bedrock Gravel Festival in Tochni and the Nicosia Gravel Adventure.
