The Allgäu Gravel Ride is a relaxed spring gravel day hosted by Vecnum, a bike parts maker based in Isny, that invites riders to share the spirit of gravel on routes through the Allgäu's hills, meadows and lakes.
The routes link quiet lanes, gravel roads and easy trails across the mountain and lake landscape of the Allgäu, with an extended option for riders who want to collect more climbing. A lunch stop at a bathing lake with barista coffee and pastries sets the unhurried tone, and it is a ride rather than a race.
Back in Isny the day ends with an after-ride party, burgers and cold drinks, plus a rare look behind the scenes of Vecnum's parts workshop. Riders can pitch a tent right next to the company building, which makes it easy to turn the ride into a weekend.
