About this event
An end-of-season gravel weekend in the woods of Cannock Chase, built around a relaxed, signed sportive on the Saturday. Riders can camp under the pines at Tackeroo on Friday and Saturday night, join an evening ride on the Friday and roll out for a club coffee ride on the Sunday.
The main ride mixes forest gravel and quiet back lanes in one of the prettiest corners of the Midlands, with fast flat stretches, a few climbs to wake the legs and, if the weather turns, plenty of mud and puddles. Glorious Gravel, the organiser, keeps it open to riders of all abilities, with feed stops serving tea, cake and sandwiches, mechanics on hand and a beer waiting at the finish.
