Grady's Gravel Queens

Grady's Gravel Queens is a gravel community weekend for women at the Weissensee in Carinthia, built around riding together rather than racing: no performance pressure and no comparisons, as the organisers put it. The 2027 gathering will be its third edition, and riders of every level, from first-timers to experienced gravel cyclists, are welcome.

The setting does a lot of the work. The Weissensee sits in a fjord-like valley with quiet bays, and the tours range from easy loops along the shore to more advanced rides up to alpine pastures and a lost-places round. The programme mixes guided and self-guided tours with bike repair and riding technique workshops, a gravel test festival and evenings around the campfire with music; in 2026 there was morning yoga too.

It is organised by JR Sport & Event Consulting, part of the Austrian Pedal Performance Group. Looking back on the 2026 edition, the team wrote about how quickly the participants turned into a community, with new friendships, shared experience and plenty of mutual support out on the gravel.
