About this event

Gravel Epic Šternberk calls itself a gateway to the Nízký Jeseník hills for gravel bikes and mountain bikes alike. The routes link gravel tracks, quiet tarmac and forest roads through a landscape the organisers clearly love, and they promise a friendly, easy-going race for solo riders and pairs, whether you are chasing seconds or simply taking in the scenery.

The base is an apartment site with a big garden in the village of Dalov, where the stalls fill with food, coffee from the local KIKAFE roastery, fresh koláče and beer from the Twinberg microbrewery. Riders navigate by GPS, there is a Strava segment on course nicknamed the Veverský Epic Hell for anyone hunting a little extra glory, and the day ends with an afterparty with DJs.

It is run by the local club EPIC Sport Šternberk, with pairs categories for women, men and mixed teams alongside the solo classes, which gives it the feel of a day out with friends as much as a race.
