About this event
Gravel Via Salària takes its name from an old drovers' road: shepherds came to Cardona to buy salt for their flocks on the way up to the summer pastures. The race follows that thread around the town, on tracks through Navàs, Clariana de Cardener and El Miracle, with the area's salt heritage and its forests never far away.
The course mixes fast gravel tracks with rougher, more technical sections, and has kept its core while adding new paths from one edition to the next. It brought the Copa Catalana de Gravel to Cardona for the first time and has since hosted the Catalan championship round.
Behind it is Penya Ciclista Mundo, Cardona's local cycling club, which shares the photos and news of each edition on its own site.
