GravelMan Series Pays Basque

The Pays Basque edition of the GravelMan Series follows the series' simple idea: ride an unmarked GPS trace in full autonomy, managing your own food, water and repairs, with no race and no ranking. Tracking beacons are there for safety and so that friends and family can follow along.

In June the series rolls out of Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle in the French Basque Country, with traces laid out between the mountains and the ocean, on gravel or on road. The shortest is a demanding outing where climbing counts as much as the kilometres, while the longest turn into a test of pacing, rest and night riding.

Whatever the distance, there is no shuttle to count on: riders plan their own navigation, supplies and way home if they stop. GravelMan also asks for a light footprint, and dropping litter on the road or in nature can mean immediate exclusion.
