Ralsko Gravel Ride closes the Decathlon Gravel Series season in Ralsko in northern Bohemia, starting from the Hradčany airfield. Gravel riders have their own start corridor but set off together with the mountain bike field, and the first couple of kilometres on the wide perimeter road around the airfield give everyone room to find their pace.
From there the course heads off the main roads, with fast sections, real terrain and a taste of adventure that the organisers say is exactly what they love about gravel. Sandy passages after Bezděz, on a gentle descent, are the spot they single out, so hold your line and keep a gap to the rider ahead.
The series is a joint project of Petr Čech Sport and Kolo pro Život that skips a classic points table in favour of good events and atmosphere for people who love gravel bikes.
