Teruel Bike Festival Gravel

The Turol Gravel is the Saturday stage of the Teruel Bike Festival, known locally as the stage of the barrios. From the exhibition hall beside Dinópolis, the course links all ten of Teruel's small outlying villages, from Concud and Caudé to Valdecebro and Castralvo, on wide farm tracks, old rough lanes and a stretch of the Vía Verde de Ojos Negros, a former railway turned greenway.

The country is high, open and quiet: rolling farmland, valleys and hills, and patches of pine and holm oak, with very little traffic. Spring rain can turn some sections to mud. It is run by Teruel Indómito, a non-profit club whose motto is that its office is the mountains, and more than a hundred volunteers spread across the villages give the day a strong local feel.
