About this event

The Grand Old Dukes takes its name and its spirit from the Dukes Pass, the road that climbs out of Aberfoyle on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park into the very heart of the Trossachs. Around it Bike Trossachs have drawn one huge single loop, and they bill the result as the toughest, most beautiful one-day gravel event in the UK.

Expect a bit of everything: what the organisers call their infamous Gravelfoyle superhighway, monster trails, technical singletrack, punchy climbs and fast descents past lochs and glens. Gravel bikes and cross-country mountain bikes are both welcome, generous cut-offs send slower riders back by road, and the Demi-G.O.D gives a taste of the full loop.

Bike Trossachs is a Community Interest Company based in Aberfoyle, a village its riders know as Gravelfoyle, and its gravel weekends bring riders from across the UK, America and Europe to these forest tracks.
