The Gravelscape is a self-supported bikepacking event through the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas in Jaén (Andalucía). Solo or in pairs, gravel or MTB. Capped at 300 riders.
Two distances:
- Ultra: 595 km, +11,000 m. Surface mix: 322 km unpaved, 164 km asphalt, 48.9 km paved, 37.2 km compacted gravel, plus short sections of alpine and cobblestone.
- Half-Ultra: 376 km, +6,840 m. Surface mix: 188 km unpaved, 108 km asphalt, 40.2 km paved, 23 km compacted gravel, plus alpine and cobblestone sections.
The area includes the Linares-La Carolina mining district, abandoned railway tracks and villages, a valley of ancient yew trees, and badlands. Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas is the second largest natural park in Europe and sits within a Starlight Reserve for skywatching.
