About this event
The gravel day of the Thonon-les-Bains Cycling Race takes place on the Saturday of a big mass-participation cycling weekend on the French shore of Lake Geneva, with road routes on the Sunday. Both gravel routes start together from Thonon.
The 55 km route climbs through the woods of Allinges and Armoy, then crosses marshland, farm tracks and lanes towards a feed stop at Lully before returning along the lake. The 91 km Ultra adds the white roads between Douvaine, Chens-sur-Léman, Excenevex and Sciez. Climbing is moderate (roughly 600 to 860 m).
The gravel format is deliberately low-key: no waymarking (GPS navigation only), no official ranking and only an individual time at the finish. Mountain bikes and e-bikes are allowed.
