About this event

Tor Divide is a self-supported bikepacking weekend across the Peak District, built as a stepping stone between a first overnighter and the long ultra races. Its founder started it after finding few beginner-friendly bikepacking events, and the field mixes complete first timers with hardened veterans, solo or in pairs.

The routes leave the Hope Valley for gritstone edges, high moorland paths above the Upper Derwent reservoirs, rocky descents around Hayfield and the smoother tracks near Chatsworth. The northern half rewards mountain bike skills while the southern half is where a gravel bike shines, and the separate Peak Gravel route sticks to double-track, trails and quiet roads. Riders camp at the event village in Bamford and finish with food, drinks and stories.
