Ultra Race Roztocze

Ultra Race Roztocze opens the year for the Ultra Race Series, a small family of Polish gravel races where every distance starts and finishes at one shared base in Susiec. From there the routes dive into pine and beech forest along the Jelonek stream before reaching the wild, winding Tanew river within the first few kilometres.

The organisers plan their loops for flow and for the Roztocze landscape: patchwork fields of grain and meadow, fragrant woods and small borderland villages, linking towns such as Józefów, Krasnobród, Zwierzyniec, Szczebrzeszyn, Zamość, Tomaszów Lubelski and Bełżec. The team says it rides every route itself, kilometre by kilometre, and riders are followed with live tracking and fed at pit stops along the way.

Behind the series is a small crew that has run gravel races in Roztocze, the Bug valley and Silesia for four years, growing out of more than a decade of cycling projects, from the MOREcycling brand to youth support and women's bike camps. Riders who finish three of the series' races in one calendar year earn the Gold Finisher title, celebrated at a gala during the final event.
