Ultra Raid Haute Ardenne opens the Ultra Raid Series, a three-round mountain bike stage challenge that links the Belgian Ardennes with the Hautes-Vosges. The weekend is based at the Baraque de Fraiture and rides through the forests of the high Ardennes towards La Roche-en-Ardenne and Houffalize, starting with an XCO-style prologue on the station's singletrack on the Friday evening before two marathon stages on Saturday and Sunday.
Riders choose a format from S to XL, plus an e-MTB category, and can ride solo or as a pair, either against the clock or in a relaxed rando mode. The organisers have reworked the event so that those chasing the series ranking and those who simply want to enjoy the trails can share the same weekend without pressure.
