Veneto Gravel

Now heading for its eleventh edition, Veneto Gravel is one of the best-known gravel bikepacking gatherings in Europe: a single-stage, unsupported adventure from Bassano del Grappa with no clock and no ranking, only a finishers' list. Riders follow a GPS track, stamp a brevet card at checkpoints and decide for themselves where to eat, sleep or keep pedalling.

The routes run from the Venetian lagoon to the foot of the Dolomites on river embankments, white roads, Prosecco hills and quiet back roads, linking Treviso, Verona, Padua and Belluno with old walled villages such as Arquà Petrarca, Feltre and Montagnana. New for 2027, Dolomites Calling climbs deep into the mountains until the Tre Cime di Lavaredo come into view.

Unsupported does not mean alone: the event village in Bassano is the meeting point for riders from Italy and abroad, and at the finish the staff are waiting with showers and a meal included in the entry.
