3RIDES Gravel Ostbelgien takes the 3RIDES gravel format across the border into the German-speaking east of Belgium, with the Wesertalsperre reservoir at Eupen as its starting point. It was first announced as a three-day gravel stage race, opening with a short individual time trial before two longer stages, with the option of riding single days outside the overall classification.
The first edition was due in September 2026, but the organisers moved it to summer 2027. They pointed to the devastating wildfires in the Hohes Venn, saying the region should be free to focus on the crisis, and to the strong response to a summer date at their stage race in Winterberg. Behind it is 3RIDES GmbH, part of BVA BikeMedia, which also runs other gravel events in Germany.
