About this event
400 Ultra is an unsupported loop from the village of Mostek in north-east Bohemia that strings together a run of Czech mountain ranges and protected landscapes: the Krkonoše, the Jizerské hory, the Lužické hory and Bohemian Switzerland (České Švýcarsko), before swinging back through Máchův kraj, Český ráj and the Krkonoše foothills.
The terrain mixes hills, meadows, forest paths and field tracks, and riders follow a GPS track that the organisers send out a few days before the start. There is no support of any kind: everyone carries their own kit and decides whether to push through non-stop or sleep out for a night or two inside the time limit.
