Ansião Gravel Race Challenge

Ansião Gravel Race Challenge is a gravel race in the Sicó hills of central Portugal, run under the rules of the Portuguese Cycling Federation and open both to licensed racers and to amateurs. It has also doubled as the Portuguese national gravel championship.

The race is organised by Ansibikers, the local cycling association, as a showcase for the 'Ansião, Coração de Sicó' identity: a region the club presents through its food, culture, history and outdoor sport, and one it sees as made for riding off road. Drop-bar bikes only (gravel, road or cyclocross), feed stations roughly every 25 km, and a post-race meal of local flavours at the finish by the municipal stadium.
