Bohemian Border Bash Race

The Bohemian Border Bash Race traces the old borderlands of Bohemia in one fixed, unsupported loop, crossing back and forth between Czechia, Germany, Austria and Poland on what is left of centuries-old road networks. First held in 2022, it is a single-stage ultra where riders handle their own navigation, food, sleep and risk, with no team cars and no outside help.

The terrain is gravel roads, forest tracks, forgotten asphalt and long mountain climbs. The organisers present the course as a symphony in six movements, from a deceptively easy opening through a crescendo of stacked hills and a calmer intermezzo to a darker turn back into the mountains and a hard finale, and they say plainly that it is built for experienced riders who value judgement and restraint over speed.
