About this event

Brejdak is a gravel ultramarathon through the forests and farmland of south-eastern Poland, run with what the organiser calls a mix of adventure and a touch of competition. Riders are tracked by GPS, some chase the win and others simply chase the finish, and the whole event is built around a sense of cycling brotherhood.

The routes leave the Janów Forests for the heart of Roztocze, then cross the Vistula valley, the Świętokrzyskie land and the Subcarpathian woods. Much of the riding is on forest roads and rural gravel, broken up by landmarks of the Lublin Upland and the orchards between Kazimierz and Sandomierz that past riders remember fondly.

It is organised by Rezerwat Przygody, the team behind Wanoga in Pomerania and Reza in Kashubia. Riders meet the day before the start to celebrate with music, a pit-stop waits out on the course, and the event has a reputation, by the organiser's own account, for being tougher than Wanoga.
