The fourth edition of the Castellón Gravel Race, based in Llucena in the interior of Castellón (Valencia).
The Castellón Gravel Race is part of the UCI Gravel World Series and one of the qualifying rounds for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships in France. According to the organisers, it opens the international gravel calendar each year ("la primera cita del calendario mundial") and is built around 80% off-road terrain between the mountains and valleys of the interior of Castellón.
The event is organised by the Club Ciclista Sepelaco in collaboration with the Ajuntament de Llucena and the Diputació de Castelló (Esports), with Orbea as title sponsor since 2026. Previous editions have drawn top national and international riders: Alejandro Valverde won the inaugural 2024 edition, and Romain Bardet and Sofía Gómez won the 2026 edition.
The weekend format pairs a Saturday programme (social ride, expo zone, party) with the Sunday race day, framing the event as both a competitive UCI qualifier for elite and amateur riders chasing World Championships slots, and a wider gathering point for the national and international gravel scene.
