About this event

Cornwall Grit heads for the far western tip of Cornwall, following some of the best stretches of the West Kernow Way, the gravel route devised by Cycling UK. Every route opens with a clockwise loop of the Land's End peninsula on bridleways, tracks and quiet lanes, and the longer options push on east past Hayle and towards Porthleven before turning back to Marazion, in sight of St Michael's Mount.

Organiser Sportiva Events has taken the notorious Tinners Trail out of the course to make the riding flow better: its narrow, rocky paths gave great views but meant plenty of hike-a-bike. The ride shares its start and finish with the Lands End 100 road sportive, which gives the day a big event atmosphere, and the routes carry Cornish names, from Berdemyn (short) to Hir (lengthy).
