About this event
Cykelvasan 90 follows the historic Vasaloppet course, the trail of the famous ski race, from Sälen to the church tower in Mora, ridden on a bike in late summer. Elite racers chasing prize money share the trail with thousands of leisure riders who start in waves behind them, and the race is shown live on Swedish television.
The route is almost entirely forest road and gravel, with boardwalks over the marshes, bright pine forest, summer farm cottages and meadows, passing the classic checkpoints of Smågan, Mångsbodarna, Risberg, Evertsberg, Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris. The finish in Mora is a celebration, and Vasaloppet handles the logistics, from bag transport to repairs at every checkpoint.
