About this event

FVG Bike Trail was created to help riders discover Friuli Venezia Giulia, a region that changes surface, landscape and scenery within a few kilometres. Its off-road line mixes dirt, trails, single-track and forest roads, and the organisers are clear that it is not a traditional gravel route: it asks for adaptability and a taste for exploring, while staying accessible.

It is an unsupported bikepacking trip rather than a race. There is an organised start but no start list, stopwatch or ranking, and riders manage their own pace, stops and nights, following the GPX tracks provided. Gravel bikes and mountain bikes with tyres of 40 mm or wider are the recommended choice, and a parallel road version runs on quiet tarmac for those who prefer it.

The event is run by It Takes Two, a benefit company based in Udine, and has already promised riders a 2027 edition after its third outing in 2026.
