About this event

The Galway Gravel Grinder is Galway Bay Cycling Club's celebration of off-road riding in the rugged West of Ireland, set in and around the Galway Wind Park with views out over Connemara. The course is mostly off-road, stitching together forest roads, farm tracks, narrow boreens and stretches of single track that a few local enthusiasts spent years scouting.

The club sums up the day as gravel craic, a little bit of everything Ireland has to offer, and pitches it with a wink at its cousin event, the Galway Classic. Feed stations are known for their pasta pots, and riders can camp on site, with the camping proceeds going straight back to the club.
