About this event

The gravel side of the Giro del Mito, a young gran fondo weekend based in the spa village of Bagno di Romagna, in the Tuscan-Romagnol Apennines. It is a relaxed, non-competitive ride with a staggered randonnée-style start, open to gravel bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes, with experienced guides on the course and a travel passport to stamp along the way.

The route climbs from Bagno di Romagna to the Passo dei Mandrioli, the natural gateway between Romagna and Tuscany, then dives into the dense, silent woods of the Foreste Casentinesi National Park on old forest roads to Casanova dell'Alpe and the time-stood-still hamlet of Strabatenza. After a stop at the Trappisa di Sotto refuge it climbs again to the Passo del Carnaio before dropping through San Piero in Bagno back to the spa town.

Organised by River22 Sporting Club, the weekend drew more than 600 riders from nine countries in 2026, and a pasta party at the finish is included for everyone who rides. Riders who want both surfaces can add the Sunday road gran fondo at a reduced gravel rate.
