A weekend gravel camp at La Ballena Alegre on the Costa Brava - easy loops out into the local gravel, bikes to hire, food and accommodation bundled into the package. "All levels welcome" is the framing, and it shows: this is the gentlest entry point on the Catalan gravel calendar.
Three days, two nights. Routes are circular and ridden in guided groups - which solves the visiting-rider problem of where to even start in the Empordà.
55€ registration on its own - but waived when you book the camping, so the maths is basically: pay for the stay, the riding's included. A different value proposition from the headline races that can easily cost 190€ just for 1 day.
If you've never ridden Empordà gravel and don't want to plan your own first weekend there, this is the easy answer. Family-friendly programming, all levels welcome, a campsite at the start line.
