About this event
The Gravel Race de La Coubre is a new timed gravel race (first edition in 2026) based at the Port de La Palmyre in Les Mathes, on the Charente-Maritime coast. Routes run through the Coubre state forest and the coastal pine country, on white gravel paths, forest tracks and some faster open-road links.
Riders choose a 50 km or 100 km course, each run under the French cycling federation with chip timing and age-category rankings, and the race counts as a round of the NOAQ Gravel Series. Only gravel or cyclocross bikes are allowed and navigation is by official GPX, with only partial waymarking.
The 100 km loop also passes through Ronce-les-Bains, La Tremblade and Arvert, and finishers get a local treat of oysters and a craft beer.
