About this event
Gravel Weekend grew from a first race of 93 riders on a single loop into Latvia's first round of the UCI Gravel World Series, yet its organisers still describe it as a two-day celebration of gravel cycling, nature and new connections rather than just a race.
Its home is the Tukums region, which the team has called Latvia's gravel paradise from day one: a vast network of fast, rolling gravel roads broken up by punchy climbs and more technical forest sections. A short prologue time trial on Friday evening sets the tone before the main races on Saturday.
Off the bike it feels closer to a festival, with local food, cold drinks, side competitions and an evening programme. In 2025 riders from 22 countries lined up alongside local amateurs, and the 2026 UCI debut sold out with road professionals racing for the win.
