About this event

Grelly is a self-supported off-road bikepacking adventure with one constant: every edition brings brand-new tracks through lesser-known corners of Belgium and beyond. Riders pick a distance and a three- or four-day window, and the shared goal is to roll back into the start village on Sunday afternoon.

For 2027 the start moves to Herbeumont, a small village on the Semois, and the routes head south into French Lorraine, past Nancy and Toul and through the Lorraine Regional Nature Park, with every distance visiting Verdun, where traces of the First World War line the way. The organisers promise lots of unpaved riding that is not too technical, and a little less climbing than in earlier editions.

Solo riders and duos are welcome on gravel bikes or mountain bikes, and the field is kept small. Grelly is run by the volunteer association Adventure Cycling, which also organises other gravel rides and a multi-stage trail run.
