About this event

Grinduro brings enduro-style racing to gravel bikes: only a handful of technical stages are timed, the transfers between them are ridden at whatever pace the group likes, and the whole weekend runs with a festival atmosphere. The Scottish edition was the first Grinduro held outside California, starting on the Isle of Arran in 2017 and running there until 2019.

After a break in 2024, which BikeRadar linked to Forestry Commission charges and post-Brexit costs for sponsors, the event came back in 2025 on a private Cairngorms estate near Kingussie, then moved to Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway for 2026 as part of the South Scotland Outdoor Festival.

Outsider Events delivers the Scottish edition with the Grinduro team. Beyond the riding, the programme mixes talks and films, live music and a Sunday hangover shake-out ride, with a shorter Grindurito ride running alongside the main one.
