About this event
Harz Gravel sets up its race village at the foot of the Brocken, on the gravel car park of the Harz narrow-gauge railway at Drei Annen Hohne above Wernigerode, and sends riders into the forests of the Harz mountains on a looped course.
The organisers promise long forest roads with a fine gravel surface, views of the Brocken, short sharp climbs and fast stretches. It is a proper race, chip timed with age-group and team rankings, and it is strictly for gravel bikes: mountain bikes, e-bikes and aero extensions stay at home.
The event was launched in 2025 by Time for Sports, the Leipzig team that also runs HeideGravel in Saxony, and it is built as a weekend: a community ride, a guided recce of the course and a pasta party come before race day.
