KAUKAS GRAVEL

KAUKAS GRAVEL is a self-supported gravel ultra and bikepacking challenge in Lithuania, built around a simple idea: put the thrill of riding gravel up against the limits of your own endurance.

The route is mostly unpaved, largely forest roads, and threads through several of the country's parks and woodlands. The first edition took riders through the woods of Aukštaitija, and the organisers warned them to expect a few swamp crossings along the way.

Both distances share a long opening section before the full route heads further afield, and a single time limit keeps riders honest. The organisers present it as a way to discover Lithuania's gravel culture at bikepacking pace.
