La Brava Trail is a 160-km ultra following the Costa Brava from Blanes to Cadaqués in a single stage. Départ 04:30 on Saturday 31 October, cut-off 18:30 on Sunday 1 November. 38 hours to complete.
Around +4,000 m of climbing across ten sections between checkpoints: Blanes to Tossa de Mar, Tossa to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Sant Feliu to La Fosca, La Fosca to Llafranc, Llafranc to Begur, Begur to Torroella de Montgrí, Torroella to Empúries, Empúries to Castelló d'Empúries, Castelló d'Empúries to Cala Montjoi, Cala Montjoi to Cadaqués. Terrain includes coastal paths, trails, forest tracks and urban sections.
Four modalities: Individual, Pairs, Relays of 4, and Relays of 6. In team formats, one runner is on the course at all times, with changeovers only at official checkpoints.
GPS-only route, no marking. Semi-self-sufficient: aid stations at each checkpoint provide water, fruit, nuts and sweets, but runners carry their own between them. Full GPX and race book released ten days before the start.
