Loops through the Osona plain north of Vic, where flat farm tracks meet the steep gravel of the Guilleries. The contrast is the structure of the ride - easy rolling on the plateau, then a kick into the forest-and-granite hills above.
Three distances on offer: 60 km with 720 m of climbing for the gentlest gravel introduction in Catalonia; 80 and 120 km with timed sectors for riders who want the race element. The longer distances pick up most of their vertical in the Guilleries - granite and forest, punchy gradients, the kind of riding that rewards bike-handling.
The framing is gathering more than race. Even on the timed distances, the format leans toward a day on the bike with a meal at the end - local producers in the start village, regional cooking at the finish, a slower rhythm than the bigger Catalan events. Tavèrnoles helps: a small Osona village, not a tourist town, so the event takes over the place rather than disappearing into it.
