La Plana Gravel Osona

A gravel day in the Osona plain and the Guilleries hills, based in the small Osona village of Tavèrnoles.

The ride is structured by contrast: the Plana de Vic rolls easy on open farm tracks before the course climbs into the Guilleries, a forest-and-granite range above the plateau. Riders can pick between a non-competitive introduction and longer distances with timed sectors, so the same day works for riders new to gravel and for those who want the race element.

The event is organised by We are Gravel. In their own words, La Plana Gravel Osona is "an event where the experience is the priority" and "the most important thing is not to compete, but to enjoy the journey." The course is designed to be 100% rideable on a gravel bike, with MTB and e-bike also welcome.

The spirit is gathering more than race. The organisers describe the event as "a strong commitment to our territory, local producers, and the artisans who make it shine", with regional cooking and small Osona producers built into the format at the start and finish. Tavèrnoles helps: a small village rather than a tourist town, so the event takes over the place rather than disappearing into it.
