About this event

The Lakelander calls itself Ireland's premier gravel challenge, and it plays out in a quiet, little-ridden corner of the island: the forests and loughs of County Fermanagh inside the UNESCO Global Geopark. Expect wilderness, remoteness and long views, plus a few Game of Thrones filming locations along the way.

The routes sweep through seven heritage forests with tough climbs, fast downhills and rolling countryside, almost all of it on gravel. Gravel, cyclocross and mountain bikes are all welcome, and the night before the main rides the Werewolf heads out in the dark. Every finisher earns a medal and a T-shirt, and riders come from all over Ireland and beyond.
