About this event

Leuven Legacy Gravel exists because of the 2024 Gravel World Championships, which finished in Leuven: the race keeps that legacy alive as a round of the UCI Gravel World Series, and the 2026 edition was the very first qualifier for the 2027 Worlds in Haute-Savoie.

The course is built around a local lap south of the city, with gently rolling hills, punchy climbs and gravel sections that come one after another, before a finish in Leuven itself. It is a region that gained worldwide cycling fame with the road world championships in 2021 and the gravel world championships in 2024.

It closes the Bolero Gravel Series run by Golazo, which also organises the Belgian rounds in Turnhout, the Hageland and the Ardennes, so for many riders it is the last big gravel race of the season.
