About this event
Lot of Gravel was born from a simple observation: in the Lot, white tracks are everywhere, yet the department is still little known as a gravel playground. This first edition sets out to change that.
The routes cross the limestone causses of the Quercy, follow dry-stone walls and dive into valleys crowned by perched villages, linking Cahors, Figeac, Rocamadour and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie on country lanes, rural paths and forest tracks. Some sections even cross private land under special permission. The longest format starts from the medieval Pont Valentré in Cahors, and one route rides from Figeac partly into the night.
There is no clock, no ranking and no podium: everyone rides self-supported at their own pace with a GPX track, and gravel bikes, mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes and e-bikes are all welcome. In the evenings riders meet at base camps in Rocamadour and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie to share a meal and sleep under the same roof. It is organised by 2J Performance and SoEvent to showcase the Lot through adventure riding.
