About this event
Maratona BTT Canha is a friendly, unpretentious morning of mountain biking on the dirt roads and rural tracks around Canha, the oldest settlement in the municipality of Montijo. The organisers' stated aim is to show off the village and its surroundings as a place for riding in nature.
The course stays on packed-earth farm roads and trails through the open countryside of the Montijo interior, fast rolling terrain that suits a hard effort or a more relaxed ride. The day has a local, community feel: it starts and finishes at the Canha volunteer fire brigade, with breakfast, feed stations, showers and a bike wash for everyone.
