About this event
La Classica is the spring ride of Marca Bianca, a family of gravel events in the Marca Trevigiana, and it is openly not a race: there is no clock, the start is 'alla francese' within a morning window, and everyone simply follows the GPS track at their own pace.
The route warms up on smooth dirt roads across the Treviso plain, following the Piave and Monticano rivers, before heading into the land of Ottavio Bottecchia and the Prosecco hills listed by UNESCO. Riders who feel the call of the aperitivo halfway can take the shorter Aperigravel cut back to base.
Green Sport Events writes about the day with a lot of humour, and food is firmly part of the plan: the feed stations lean on local salumi, cheese and Prosecco, and the ride ends with a pasta and beer party. Gravel bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes are all welcome.
