Matschfuss Kiel

Matschfuss comes home in October: the gravel ride series of the Plattfuss Podcast is run out of Kiel, and from there the team has been carrying its idea of how a gravel event should feel across northern Germany and into Austria. It is explicitly not a race, so riders go at their own pace and the day is about the ride and the people on it.

The organisers try to make every Matschfuss a little different and like to surprise riders, with touches such as a popcorn machine in the woods, a candy bar on the course or checkpoints with live music. A volunteer crew, including a medic riding with the field, keeps the events on the road.
