About this event

Moravia Divide is a mountain bike bikepacking challenge that crosses Moravia on a fixed route, from the Rychlebské hory, with a long section on the Polish side of the border, all the way south to Břeclav. The 2027 edition is the seventh, and the organisers say roughly nine tenths of the route uses tracks the event has never ridden before.

The line strings together the Jeseníky and Nízký Jeseník hills, the Moravice valley, the Oderské vrchy and the Poodří floodplain, then runs through Haná, the Drahany uplands and the Moravian Karst before finishing below the limestone ridge of Pálava. Previous editions were described as tough but almost entirely rideable, passing many of the region's landscapes and cultural sights.

It belongs to the UltraBikers Cup family of Czech ultra events, and the community side matters: three RestPoints along the way let riders refuel, sleep and meet other racers and the organisers, a traditional refreshment stop waits on the Orlowka saddle early on, and riders can share photos from FotoPoints through the event's tracking app.
