Nesfjellet Gravelduro

Nesfjellet Gravelduro is the centrepiece of the Green Cycling Weekend in Nesbyen, a late-summer gathering of riders and families that has now run for five years. Everyone rolls out together in a mass start, timing is optional, and every finisher is rewarded, so it sits somewhere between a race and a celebration of riding in the mountains.

The courses follow gravel roads and gravelled singletrack across high mountain terrain and down into the valley around Nesfjellet. Riders on the longest loops navigate by GPS track, while short loops for children and families keep the whole weekend open to all ages.

The Saturday event is run by Orset Sport within a weekend organised by Green Cycling Nordic Norway together with Nesfjellet, the local ski and cycling club and businesses in Nesbyen. Sustainability is built in: a dedicated sustainability officer works to keep the event's footprint very low.
