About this event

The Copenhagen to Oslo chase is an unsupported ultra between two Nordic capitals, raced flat out by some and ridden as a personal test by others, with a time limit to make it to Oslo. It runs in mid-June, when the northern night barely darkens at all, so most riders find they sleep far less than they planned.

The gravel route leaves Copenhagen north through Sjaelland to the short Helsingor to Helsingborg ferry, with Kronborg behind you and the race clock still running on board. Then it is long hours of Swedish forest and lake country on emptying roads, before the land starts to rise into Norway and the route drops to the Oslo fjord.

Nordic Chase is run from Copenhagen by an organiser who has ridden a number of ultras. It began in 2025 as a single 400 km loop through Denmark and Sweden and grew into a series of capital-to-capital races in 2026, drawing riders from more than 20 countries, with road and gravel fields starting on the same day.
