About this event
Norfolk 360 is built as a first step into ultra-distance riding: instead of one long line across the map, four loops radiate like a compass from a single base at Claxton Village Hall, so riders are never far from food, a bed or a direct way home. All Pace Races designed it so that ordinary club cyclists can try an ultra without years of preparation or a garage full of new kit.
The loops run from Thetford Forest to the North Norfolk coast, mostly on quiet lanes with roughly a third off-road, which is why the organiser recommends a gravel bike with chunky tyres. Riders choose how far to go within the time limit, dropping back to the hall between loops to refuel, swap kit or sleep.
The weekend has a friendly, communal feel: many arrive on the Friday night to bunk down in the hall and share dinner, the team is on site around the clock, a rescue service runs day and night, and every finisher takes home a handmade Norfolk 360 tile.
