Orient Gravel Gołdap takes the eastern Poland gravel series north to the Romincka Forest and the hilly Masurian lakeland around Gołdap. The terrain here is very varied, with more than 150 metres between its lowest and highest points, and the organisers describe the gravel of the Romincka Forest as pure poetry.
Like every Orient Gravel round, it is a small, friendly race where start numbers are drawn at random. The series is run by the team behind the Maratony Kresowe MTB races, which have brought around 65,000 riders to eastern Poland since 2009.
