About this event

Orient Gravel Szlak Tatarski rides the Tatar Trail through the multicultural Sokółka region of Podlasie, and its organisers call it the most exotic cycling event in Poland. The route heads deep into the Knyszyn Forest, home to around 300 European bison, and recent editions have added ever more gravel.

The historic mosques of the Lipka Tatars, whose heritage the marked Tatar trails of Podlasie connect, are part of the journey, and without them, the organisers say, a trip through the Polish orient would not be complete. The race starts from the OSiR sports centre in Krynki.

It is one round of Orient Gravel, the eastern Poland series run by the team behind the Maratony Kresowe MTB races, organised since 2009.
