PlugPlug Zoniënwoud starts from De Hagaard in Overijse and heads straight into the Zoniënwoud, the great beech forest that the organisers call the green lung of Brussels. The opening kilometres run under its cathedral of beech trees, one flowing descent after another, with hardly any asphalt in sight.

Beyond the forest the routes roll through the hilly countryside south-east of the capital, with more than three quarters of the riding off-road and a fair amount of climbing on every distance. Riders navigate by GPS, with a handlebar sticker listing the key points on the route.

It is a relaxed, fully organised PlugPlug Gravel day from Count Me In rather than a race, with coffee and cake at the start and the series' usual support along the way. It continues the ride that ran as PlugPlug Dijleland from Oud-Heverlee in 2025.
